I thought therre was something thin in her poems. Too much hype and not enough hipness. Here's a poem I wrote about her work: <br /><br />Midnight <br /><br />Somewhere there is <br />A short lyric by Emily <br />Dickinson that begins <br />With that straight dark word <br /><br />"Midnight" and ends <br />With these two quiet lines: <br />"The train passes oh so slowly <br />But the grief will never end." <br /><br />When I first read it I was <br />Young, eighteen, a student. <br />Too young to know what <br />Really feeds us, I laughed <br /><br />And said to my friend Mike <br />Rychlewski, "And they call <br />This oatmeal poetry?
